Book 1 Chapter 829

829.

A metropolis that is both the center of the world and home to the Lumen Academy.

Lumeria City.

As such, Lumeria City has long been recognized as the city representing the human race.

A place where countless talents gather, people gather accordingly, and countless advancements have been made.

Therefore, Lumeria City was a more developed city than any other city in the world.

A city even more advanced than the capital of the Rodren Empire, said to be the strongest human nation, or the Shan Empire, which boasts a long history.

As such, Lumeria City was also a leading city in the cultural sphere.

From literature to culinary culture.

And even fashion.

Kurage Street, which can be called Lumeria City's main street.

Even there, a section where all kinds of high-end stores were located.

The clothing store, which literally only VIPs could use, was reserved today for only two guests.

"Leo! How about this one?"

*Swish-!*

The curtain opened, and Elena came out, smiling brightly.

Along with her, sounds of people gulping echoed everywhere.

A female employee waiting behind staggered and collapsed.

Another female employee who was also waiting was startled and helped her up.

But that female employee also had blood flowing from her nose.

The middle-aged female manager of the store trembled at the indecency of her two employees.

Her eyes, burning with a double flame, seemed ready to incinerate her employees with just a glance.

This was currently a VIP-only showroom.

And Leo and Elena had come here for shopping.

The outfit Elena wanted to buy was a swimsuit.

It was a fitting session for the successor of the Zerion family, of all people.

Although it was an outfit meant to be shown, it was also very revealing, so much so that male employees couldn't even set foot in the showroom.

Thus, Leo was the only man present.

The problem was that Elena's demonic charm was not limited by gender.

The manager, having handled many VIPs, was displaying an indomitable spirit, but for the somewhat defenseless employees, Elena's charm was practically violent.

Female employees were constantly fainting every time Elena changed clothes and came out.

Elena stood in front of the mirror, smiling and striking various poses.

"How is it, Lejea?"

Elena asked Lejea, the Zerion family's maid who was helping her change clothes.

Lejea, who had served Elena since childhood, was a powerful mage unaffected by Elena's demonic charm.

"It suits you very well, Lady Elena."

Elena tilted her head, looking at Lejea, who was smiling brightly.

Then she blew a 'smooch-' kiss towards Leo.

Leo, who had been sipping coffee in his chair, propped his chin and said indifferently.

"It suits you."

At his words, Elena pouted and scoffed.

"I'll wear something else."

*Swish-!*

Elena, looking somewhat annoyed, went back into the dressing room.

Watching Elena, Lejea subtly glanced at the employees.

For an ordinary person, such behavior in front of a guest would be unacceptable.

But Lejea also knew.

That the young lady she served was special.

And that she had no intention of hiding that special power today.

Lejea approached Leo, who had a nonchalant expression.

"Lord Leo."

"Yes."

"Just tell the young lady that she's pretty."

"That ruffian probably doesn't want empty words, does she?"

Leo said with a smirk.

Looking at Leo, Lejea made a strange expression.

Leo Flob.

As a vassal of the Zerion family, she had heard stories about the famous Leo ever since his admission.

'And recently, he even rose to the unprecedented position of King of the World.'

In truth, even if he became King of the World, it couldn't be said that he held absolute, unchallenged power.

But the ripple effect of that name's value would be beyond imagination.

'I understand why the young lady has taken a liking to him, but… isn't he too dry and uninteresting?!'

It was Elena Zerion, of all people.

Lejea had met countless beautiful women, but she had never seen anyone more beautiful than Elena.

'No, there are exactly two people.'

Queen of Wisdom, Lisinas, and Luna, the progenitor of the Nebula.

Of course, those two are figures from the distant past, so they are naturally excluded.

'For such a young lady to openly seduce him, and he doesn't even bat an eye.'

She suddenly wondered if one had to be at this level to become King of the World.

Lejea, shaking her head, said.

"Please say it, even if it's just empty words."

Otherwise, a great disaster might occur where all the shop's employees would collapse.

"Lejea, what are you doing?"

Hearing Elena's voice from inside the dressing room, Lejea smiled sweetly at Leo, then entered the dressing room.

A moment later.

The curtain opened again, and Elena came out.

It was a white bikini swimsuit that emphasized her waistline.

The bottom was tied with a ribbon knot, and there was also a large ribbon knot on the back of the top.

*Thump-* Elena stood in front of the mirror and did a light turn.

Then she crossed her arms, looked at Leo, and gave a provocative smile.

"How is it?"

"It's pretty."

Leo said with a smirk.

At his words, Elena, who had been staring intently at Leo, scrunched up her face.

"Something else."

Seeing Elena, who was somehow annoyed again, Leo shrugged at Lejea, and Lejea sighed.

A moment later, something flew over the curtain.

When he snatched it, it was the swimsuit top she had just been wearing.

It seemed she had thrown it irritably.

"Tsk."

Leo clucked his tongue, handed it to the manager, and asked.

"Don't you have anything a bit more modest?"

"A modest design, you mean?"

"Yes. A child should have some childlike qualities."

'…She's too beautiful to be called a child… Besides, aren't you younger?'

The manager let out a hollow laugh at his attitude, as if dealing with a younger sister, but a moment later, she brought a black one-piece style swimsuit.

One side of the waistline was decorated with transparent lace, like a skirt.

It was far from modest by everyday wear standards, but compared to the provocative designs Elena had worn so far, it was a modest style.

Seeing that, Leo nodded, and the manager went into the dressing room.

A moment later.

"Leo picked this one for me?"

Elena, peeking her face out from between the dressing room curtains, sparkled her pink eyes.

"My lady. You shouldn't show your face like that."

"He can't see anyway. And even if he could, he's not the type to bat an eye."

Leo gestured with his chin, as if annoyed, at Elena who was grumbling in a sullen voice.

"Try it on."

At his words, Elena *poof-* went back into the curtain.

A moment later.

Elena opened the curtain and came out, looking around, then smiled brightly.

"Does it suit me?"

"Not bad."

At his words, Elena smiled brightly and said.

"I'll take this one."

"An excellent choice."

The manager beamed.

A moment later, Lejea left, taking the employees who had finished tidying up the dressing room.

As it was a VIP showroom, it was a service to ensure private conversation.

Elena, still in her swimsuit, sat in front of Leo, smiling brightly, and propped her chin.

Leo sipped his coffee and said.

"Everything you tried on was fine."

"Empty words."

"Not empty words. Because the hanger is good."

"Does that mean I'm pretty?"

"Then are you ugly?"

Leo looked at Elena with a bewildered expression.

Looking at Leo, Elena narrowed her eyes.

"For someone who says that, you were indifferent no matter what I wore, weren't you? Even though I came today determined to dress up beautifully."

"To me, it looked like a talent show."

"Wow. Really, with Lisinas-nim and Luna-nim as the standard, there's no comparison."

"You'll be as beautiful as them when you grow up."

Elena's eyes widened.

There seemed to be no particular intention.

"Hmm?"

But her heart pounded at his actions, as if he was calmly stating the truth.

Elena, who had slightly turned her head and was looking out the window, trying to suppress the twitching of the corners of her mouth, stood up.

"Lejea."

At Elena's call, Lejea, who had been waiting outside, came in.

"Yes, my lady."

"I'll buy everything I wore today."

"Everything?"

"Yes. Everything."

Elena smiled brightly.

"I'll just change them until I get sick of them on the trip."

Elena shrugged and stood up.

"Alright, then, shall we go buy some ingredients?"

"You said you were going to a deserted island."

"Yes."

"Weren't you going to forage locally?"

Elena, with her arms crossed, narrowed her eyes.

"Leo. I'm going for fun. For fun. I'm not going to survive. I'm going to have a blast, eat, and drink."

"I will assist you, my lady."

"No, Lejea. You can go back now."

Elena smiled brightly.

"I'm going with Leo, just the two of us."

***

"Can you see?"

"No."

Chelsea and Chloe held newspapers close to their faces.

And they had made holes where their eyes were to secure their vision.

Currently, the two were at a cafe on one side of the upper-class line of Kurage Street.

It was directly opposite the clothing store Leo and Elena had entered.

After confirming that the two had entered the clothing store, they had been staking out there for a long time.

"Carl, what are you doing! Come here and monitor too!"

Carl, who was drinking coffee further away, ignored Chelsea.

Chelsea and Chloe currently looked suspicious to anyone.

Frankly, he didn't want to get involved.

'No, even if they hide their presence. Are those two ordinary humans?'

One is a hero who saved the world, and the other is a villainess who reigns over all Lumen students.

If they sensed anything suspicious, they would immediately find them.

'Do they not realize they look suspicious? No. Do they not have the luxury to think that far?'

Carl clicked his tongue.

"Oh, they're out!"

Just then, Chelsea said urgently.

Chelsea and Chloe stood up.

Carl took out his wallet from his pocket and said.

"I'll pay for that table too."

At his words, Chelsea and Chloe quickly pursued Leo and Elena.

Carl muttered while paying.

'I'll get double back later.'

Carl thought this much danger pay was only natural, considering he was missing classes and violating school rules.

A moment later.

Leo and Elena, who had gone out into the city street, bought groceries.

"What? What are they doing?"

Chelsea, watching from a distance, tilted her head.

"They just seem to be buying groceries."

As Chloe also tilted her head, Carl said.

"They look like a newlywed couple."

"Huh?"

"Why does simply buying groceries make them look like a newlywed couple?"

Chelsea made a fierce expression, and Chloe glared.

At his words, Carl shook his head.

"Ah, this is why well-bred young ladies are…"

"Huh? Are you picking a fight?"

"Carl."

Chelsea cracked her knuckles, and Chloe pulled out a thick magic tome.

Chelsea, raised in the most prestigious family of Rodren.

And Chloe, though of a lower status, born into a mage family belonging to the Northern Magic Tower, was clearly an upper-class young lady.

The Müller family was not a wealthy family, but that was only by noble standards.

It was far from the daily lives of commoners.

"Commoners do their own shopping. Sometimes couples go together."

"Oh."

"So that's why."

"…Sometimes I feel it. That we live in different worlds."

As Carl shrugged, the two made awkward expressions.

Just then.

"Huh? They linked arms."

At Carl's words, Chelsea and Chloe quickly turned their heads.

"Hey. Don't react so violently to something like that. Our goal is just to find out where those two go during the break…"

"Carl Thomas?"

Just then, a familiar fierce voice was heard.

Definitely hostile words, Carl furrowed his brow and turned his head.

And Chelsea and Chloe also reacted to that voice.

Then, discovering the person there, Chelsea crossed her arms and made an annoyed expression.

"Emio? What are you doing here?"

There stood Emio, a classmate and former Lumen magic student who had been expelled a year ago.
