Author's Note

Hello, I am Jung Hoon (鄭薰).

Finishing yet another work and greeting my readers like this truly fills me with emotion.

Every time I write an ending and an author's note, my heart feels heavy and full of regret.

I could have written it better, I should have written it better, I should have presented a more enjoyable story… Only the regret of not having done so lingers in my mind.

Especially since this work, <The Reincarnation of the Hero Party's Archmage>, was written with great ambition, my lacking writing skill felt all the more keenly.

Actually, when I first started writing, I wanted to depict stories of travel\/daily life, but as I progressed, it felt like it became a raid novel, just like my previous works…

It was difficult to shake off the regret that it became a complex story with four genres mixed in: academy\/travel\/daily life\/raid.

I write with the resolve to create stories that, even if imperfect, remain in people's hearts and are remembered, but it seems I've failed again this time.

I will stop these pathetic retrospections here.

<The Reincarnation of the Hero Party's Archmage> is actually a prequel to the 'Tales of the Mythic Era' series that I plan to write.

That's why this sub-title is 'Epilogue of the Prologue'! Ta-da!

Perhaps the upcoming titles will also bear the name 'Story'.

There, the Three Heroic Dragons, and Isla, are also scheduled to play an active role!

As for Isla, readers who might have seen <The Tale of the Fake Hero>, which I briefly serialized before, might remember her.

Q : What about the first pillar?

A : From its very inception, it was planned to appear as the villain of <The Tale of the Fake Hero>! Because it's a villain that penetrates the theme…

However, since <The Tale of the Fake Hero>, where the turmoil truly begins, is a dark fantasy and a raid story, I'm not sure if I can bring myself to write it now, having poured everything into this current work.

I might write a novel set at an intermediate point between <The Reincarnation of the Hero Party's Archmage> and <The Tale of the Fake Hero> first.

I don't know when or where we will meet again, but I will now take my leave, waiting only for the day when I can share a joyful reunion with my readers.

Finally, I extend my gratitude to all the readers who stayed with this flawed story until the very end, and to my dedicated PD who always wholeheartedly supported me.

Truly, I am grateful beyond words.
